ioon. The process of converting this ^articular high quality film from 35 mm ,o 16 mm has not been successful, up mtil this point. If “Carmen” is able to je converted, the film will be booked igain, probably in late summer. The public will be kept informed.
Art Exhibit
The work of six young, promising artists is presently on display in the lobby of the Gay St. Theater. The show includes a lovely self-portrait by Claire Roerner, painted at age 10; a lively acrylic field of flowers by Patrick O’Meara, painted at age eight; the crayon drawings of deer and horse in blue and turquoise surroundings by sixth graders Camilla Jones and Joey Reid; an oil painting by senior Bobby Ludwick of desks on light streaked lawn and foliage; and a magnificent mountain landscape in oils by 12 year old Chris Moyles. A watercolor portrait by Melanie Moffet and a crayon piece of young girls dancing by Kelly Lawler will also be on view.
This display is part of Virginia’s celebration of its artistic talent during the month of May, designated by the legislature as Arts month.
