It is discouraging to me that some of Rappahannock’s teachers, administration and school board members supported the student walkout on May 15. Once such action is approved for an issue you support, where do you draw the line? And if you support such actions by 13-18 year olds in the high school, what issue would have your support for 5-12 year olds at the elementary school?

If skipping classes is an act subject to disciplinary action according to school conduct rules, why would the school accomodate by class schedule change a protest walkout by students? Such action disrupted the school day for non-protesting students and infringed on their learning time.

While encouraging students to disrupt the entire student body for the day, the teachers and school officials demonstrated less than responsible expenditure of tax funds. Teachers sala
