what it means to be physically handicapped and still cope with the needs of everyday life.
“Our homemakers groups strive to present programs of benefit to everyone,” said Lucille Price, a member of a Rappahannock club. “We no longer just associate ourselves with needlework and the kitchen.”
Price said that the homemakers’ association with the 4-H center has enabled them to use the facilities for meetings and out-door activities. “It is a stimulating experience to visit the center and see first hand the accomplishments there,” Price said. “John Dooley is a willing host and is overwhelmingly enthusiastic about the facility, and as members of Extension Homemakers Clubs we wholeheartedly support the 4-H center and all of its programs.”
