Special lunches, strawberry shortcake, freshly picked spring vegetables, home-baked bread and other treats will all be part of the market’s opening day. Several new members have joined the Small Farmers Market this season.

“We are not diminutive agricultural workers, but a group of gardners, orchardists, beekeepers and bakers who have joined together to market the goods we produce,” said one member, T. Reynolds, who wrote the Market’s promotional brochure. “The Small Farmers are a cooperative,” she conrr-——
