Tomorrow night is the night of the big feast at our very own fire hall,(May 31st from 5 to 8 p.m.)!! Yes, that’s right—the annual Volunteer Fire Department’s fundraiser!! So put on your stretch pants (or skirts) and come on over to the Castleton fire hall for a mouth water dinner you won’t forget!!

It’s $6.50 fj>r adults and $3.50 for children. A read worthwhile cause, yes sir!! And tasty too!! Yum! Yum! Be There!

There was lots of visiting around this area over the Memorial weekend. Richard “Doug” and Becky Gore gave a scrumptious picnic and invited their relatives from Manassas, Nina and Albert Lee Compton. Their daughter, Ellen, joined in the pleasurable afternoon.

Stevan and Marguerite Nikolajevic entertained their good friends, Bill and Danielle Todd of Arlington and their three sons, Patrick, Mark and Christopher last weekend. The boys had a great time swimming in the Nikolajevic’s pond and created an ingenious float made from three inner tubes and an old, broken, plastic chair. Stevan and Marguerite were amazed at their proficiently engineered enterprise.

Last Wednesday, the Nikolajevics were visited by their daughter-in-law, Keri and grandsons, Patrick and Matthew and Keri’s friend, Gail. They spent a wonderful day together and little Patrick had a great time chasing the dogs and playing ball!

Seventh grader Tommy Schoppet had a splendid houseguest over the holiday weekend, his friend, Scott Blevins of Washington, also a 7th grade student at R.C.E.S. They were joined by another, yes 7th grader, from Battle Mountain, David Mosher. All three boys were then chauffeured to the theater in Culpeper by dear, old “Dad”, followed later with the pickup, by dear, ole “Bino.”
