Hearing

Set for

Monday

Hare will be a public hewing on the 1985-86 budget during the Board of Supervisor’s regular meeting Monday, June 3 at 10 a.m. in the courthouse.

The $5.9 million spending plan carries with it a tax levy of 63 cents pec $190 of assessed value. That levy is up 11 cents from the current 52 cents.

The recent $120,000 cut in the school budget shaved five cents off the proposed tax levy. Without the cut, the levy would have been 68 cents per $100 of assessed value.

Most Of the budget is devoted to the school fund, the total of which is $4.2 million with $1.2 million earmarked for capital outlays.

A copy of the budget is available at the clerk's office.
