Board member Nancy Reeves asked that the board receive a definitive answer on where the best place for additional parking would be. “We also want to consider how it will look from the road,” Reeves said.
Before going into executive session, the board received copies of the proposed 1985-86 school budget adopted at the board’s last meeting that cut $120,000 from the board’s first proposal. “I’d like to see us resubmit the original budget (to the board of supervisors) and ask them to reconsider,” said board member Paul Nichols. “Teachers’ salaries is an area that we’re going to have to work with because we’re still playing catch-up.” The suggestion was not acted on.
