Other challenges brought out by Mrs. King were: ideas and ideals worth fighting for in building citizenship, character and leadership. Instill in the youth of today a desire to serve and lead. Make life better, make life more secure. Weakness of character is leadership’s worst enemy. Blood, she said, was shed to make what we have.
The luncheon hour closed with the group singing “God Bless America” led by Mrs. Woodruff Kearns.
