The Rappahannock School Board held a special meeting on Thursday, May 23 to discuss changes in the high school expansion project plans proposed by staff members at the school.
The changes were proposed at the board’s meeting on May 14 when the board decided to ask the architectural firm of Smithey and Boynton to prepare cost estimates on the additional costs involved.
Staff members recommended: having the guidance conference room door located between the reception and co”<V*rei. o "omis and eliminating a hallway door; sound proofing the common wall between the reception and conference rooms (no additional cost); providing an outside double door from a storage room in the gym; having an exterior water fountain (no additional cost); including additional space and shelving in the library and water in the library’s work room; switching the locations of the teachers’ lounge and the special education classroom; providing water and gas for six student locations to convert the science lecture room into a biology classroom; moving the auditorium’s door to the front and changing to double doors; building a booth in the
