Miss Natalie Ann Swindler of Sperryville and Dennis John Hathaway of Fairfax exchanged wedding vows February 14 at the Sperryville United Methodist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Swindler of Beech Spring Farm, Sperryville, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Lee Swindler of Sperryville and Mrs. Helen Pszenny of Salem, Mass.
The groom’s parents are the late Charles E. Hathaway, USN (ret.), and Mrs. Marie Hathaway of Fairfax.
Reverend Merlin Shorb performed the 7 p.m. candlelight ceremony.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an all-over satin gown with a high neck trimmed with pearls and Alencon lace. Ornate tapering sleeves and an exquisite hand beaded bodice led to a dropped waist and a sweeping cathedral train accented with Alencon and Brussels lace and seed pearls. She wore a fingertip veil adorned with seed pearls and Brussels lace. Her bouquet was a Victorian arrangement of red and white roses, baby’s breath, ribbons and lace.
Bobette Lee Swindler was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Heather Fannon, Mary Haynes and Lorelle Morley.
