• Lake Anna — This week’s hotspot! All fishing described as excellent! Bass are very active — catches over seven pounds on crankbaits and spinners. Crappie jumping in the boat — almost! Many tournaments last week produced some spectacular stringers of bass, crappie, and bluegill. Some huge cats have also been caught.
• Potomac River — Largemouths are very active on spinners and rubber worms. Walleye are starting to appear on a regular basis, in the two and a half to three pound range.
