Chickahominy Lake — Crappie and bluegill are still strong with bass fishing remaining slow due to largemouth spawning activity. Chickahominy River is producing a lot of cats and bream of all kinds. Some bass are starting to show up in the lily pads.
• Back Bay — Bluegills are hitting on crickets and crappie on minnows. The east side of the bay is producing some bass on spoons and spinners.
• Rappahannock River — The shad and herring are still running, but not very strong. Bass and crappie in the lower river are improving. Smallmouth fishing in the upper river is improving, but the fish are generally small and spotty to locate.
