Seventh District Congressman D. French Slaughter, Jr., was unanimously nominated as the GOP candidate for Congress at the district Republican convention Saturday in Stafford.
In his acceptance speech, Slaughter said, "I will continue to represent the people of the Seventh District to the best of my ability and to stay in touch with them as to their views on issues before the Com gress.”
“In the last five years, we have enjoyed a significant decline in inflation and the interest rates, and tremendous growth in our economy, both in Virginia and across the nation. Most Americans have had an increase in income and in purchasing power. People are again realizing the American dream of purchasing and owning a home.”
