Downzoning decision due
The Fauquier supervisors expect to decide whether to approve several zoning changes designed to slow development of farmland at their meeting May 20.
Last Wednesday, they held the last of two public hearings on the proposed changes, one of w hich would change the building density for farmland from a maximum of one home lot per five acres to a maximum of one home lot per 10 acres.
Supervisors Samuel Butler (Lee District) and James Rankin (Center District), who say they will vote against the proposals, believe the five-member board wd;1 adopt the changes by a 3-2 vote.
