Courthouse help According to the most recent estimate, it will cost $8,000 more than county government is willing to spend to preserve the courthouse’s historical integrity. A group of citizens has formed the Courthouse Restoration Committee to fund those extra appointments in the renovation project under way. With the involvement of the Rappahannock County Historical Society, donors are assured that their contributions will be tax deductible. Years from now, the county will greatly appreciate the extra effort to preserve the courthouse in an appropriate manner.
