Volunteer Caroline Doub explained how this project got started. “Three years ago one of the teachers was rooming at Frances Lyne’s house and she thought it would be a nice thing to do. It’s just been a great experience.”
“The students are becoming aware of the beauty of the flowers, learning the names of flowers, and identifying vegetables. But more than anything, they’re being made aware of the beauty of nature,” Ms. Bain concluded.
The club members designed games for the children to play that help to teach about different flowers and plants.
