“Eat more pizzas!” proposed board member Paul Nichols, referring to the seventh grade’s pizza kit sales, one of a host of fund-raisers conducted by the class to raise an estimated $8,000 for the annual outing.
Superintendent Estabrook noted that the transportation category includes $3,000 in sick leave pay for bus drivers. If the drivers stay healthy, “that by itself might take us most of the way . . . without cutting any trips that have been traditionally approved by this board.”
After a two-hour closed-door session that stretched until 11:45 p.m., the board voted unanimously to:
• Accept the resignations of RCES physical education aide Joan Welch, cafeteria worker Nellie Graves and high school physical education teacher Joel Vorhees.
