The firemen’s parade, held last Thursday night, saw 80 vehicles competing for honors in a procession which lasted almost 45 minutes. Several local companies were among the trophy winners.
Tammy Smith, from Amissville Company 3, was chosen the winner among the honorary fire chiefs in the parade.
Chester Gap won second place for the best appearing pumper (750 gpm and under), and the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department took second place for the best appearing brush truck.
