In 1937, Mr. Pollock turned his resort over to the Virginia Skyline Co. But he continued to visit his beloved mountains until his death in 1949 just a few weeks before his 80th birthday. At his funeral, Swami Premananda paid tribute to George Freeman Pollock for the cathedral he built. Thousands will come to that cathedral for recreation and revelation, the swami said.
