“Why does Mr. Forman need a resolution from us when he’s going to close the site down no matter what (on July 1, 1987)?” asked Supervisor J. Newbill Miller.
“We renewed their contract and consequently the Updikes had to go to the state (for an extension of the existing landfill site) so they could meet their contract,” replied Supervisor Chairman Gilkey, noting that the resolution from the board is a condition of that extension.
