In finalizing budgets for the building inspection and zoning administration, the board members agreed that those two departments will be housed, beginning in September, in the half of Douglas Baumgardner’s law office building now occupied by the Harris Hollow Fruit Company. Sandra Brown, the current part-time secretary for the building inspector, will work fulltime as secretary to both offices.
In addition, the board upped Building Inspector Emil Smet’s hours from two days to three days per week and his pay from $10,626 to $15,939.
