James Pullen
James Henry (Goose) Pullen, 63, of Washington died Sunday, June 22,1986.
Mr. Pullen was born November 18,1923, at Charles Town, W. Va., a son of Virgie Alther Pullen of Sperryville and the late Joseph John Pullen. He was a retired mechanic.
In addition to his mother, other survivors include seven children, James Franklin Pullen and Ronald L. Pullen, both of Sperryville, Diane Taylor of Catlett, Sue Keyser of Woodville, Joan Brown of Keswick, Joseph Andrew Pullen of Sperryville and Peggy L. Pullen, also of Sperryville.
Additional survivors include two sisters, Mane Thomas of Warrenton and Virginia Lee Pullen of Sperryville and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at Gid Brown Bible Church on Wednesday, June 25 at 11 a.m. by Pastor John Burke.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington or Sperryville Fire Department.
Moody Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
Robert Smoot
Robert Jackson Smoot, 69, of Dickerson, Md., died June 21 at the Loudoun Memorial Hospital, Leesburg. A native of Rappahannock County, Mr. Smoot was a dairy fanner.
