At that time, he was served with two warrants alleging a misdemeanor assault and a felony attempted malicious wounding. Those warrants were sworn out by his wife, Deborah. Brown has been held on those warrants in the Page County jail at Luray since his arrest.
On Monday, Brown was found guilty of the assault charge in Madison County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. He was sentenced to 12 months in jail'with 10 months suspended.
He also was placed on one year’s probation and ordered to stay away from the complainant, Deborah Brown. The felony charge was continued to a later date.
