Festival of flags
in Clarke County
The Clarke County Sesquicentennial invites the public to attend their Festival of Flags celebration July 5 in Berryville.
Come early and enjoy a country style breakfast with many celebrities at the local fire company. Breakfast begins at 7 a.m. At 10:30 the Civil War Battle of Buckmarsh will be reenacted on the original location. The battle will include more than 400 uniformed troops, many cannons, horses and muskets.
At 1:30 the Festival of Flags parade will feature Tab Hunter, Jim Brady, Miss Virginia and many other celebrities. There will be a day long food festival provided by local
