Girls’ basketball
camp at Radford
The 14th annual Radford University girls’ basketball camp will get underway with the first of two oneweek sessions from June 29-July 4 at the Dedmon Center.
The Radford camp, directed by Highlander women’s basketball coach Charlene Curtis, is open to girls ages 12-18 and will emphasize fundamental skills through drills and practice sessions.
Campers will be divided into small teaching groups based on age and skill level. The camp will concentrate on individual and team instruction and will cost $140 per camper. Area residents may attend as day campers for $90. Camp fees include a $25 non-refundable deposit.
A second camp session is scheduled for August 3-8 but has already been filled, according to Ms. Curtis. Anyone wishing to enroll in the Radford girls’ camp should contact Coach Curtis at 731-5123 for an application.
