‘Short Circuit’
Short Circuit, starring Allie Sheedy and Steve Guttman, will be playing at the Gay Street Theater on October 25 and 26 at 7:30 p.m. This movie is a comedy-drama about a military robot that takes on human characteristics after being struck by lightning. The robot accidentally escapes from the military-industrial complex and the stars join forces to save it from recapture and dis-assembly. The movie is rated PG.
Youth Rally at Family Worship
Family Worship Center will host a youth rally Saturday, October 25, at 7 p.m. The Solid Rock Singers will be featured along with The Singing Word and special guest Randy Brigman from Texas.

Portraits to be taken at Amissville
The Amissville Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor their fifth Family Portrait Project Sunday, November 2, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you have not purchased a coupon, they may be purchased at the door. Buy a coupon for $10 and get a beautiful 8 x 10 in color. Portraits will be taken at the Amissville Fire Hall. “Come and get your portrait done,” said a project organizer.
Halloween party at Amissville
The Amissville Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a Halloween party on Friday, October 31, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the fire hall. There will be costume judging, games, prizes, refreshments and a haunted house. Admission is $1.
