Paul D. Hawkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hawkins of Sperryville, is a member of the Inter-Society Council of Bob Jones University in Greenville, S. C. Mr. Hawkins, a senior majoring in Bible in the School of Religion, is president of the Cavalier Literary Society.

The Rappahannock 4-H
County Council met October 15 at Washington Elementary School. The meeting was called to order by Carty Moffett, president. Bobby Weakley led the group in the 4-H pledge and motto. Amy Palmer, secretary, read the minutes and called the roll. The financial report was given by Susan Dodson. The president read the County Council goals to the group. Some goals decided upon were four $10 scholarships to be given to 4-H camp instead of seven $5 scholarships and the County Council will do more for National 4-H Club Week.
Ladies in Government in Virginia were honored at a luncheon Monday during the annual meeting of the Virginia Association of Counties which was held at the Natural Bridge Hotel October 16, 17 and 18.
