On July 19th the R.A.A. summer baseball program ended its season with a picnic and an All Star game between two teams selected by their coaches. The game was between those from the Amissville area while the other team was made up of the youngsters from the rest of Rappahannock County. Trophies were also awarded at the picnic.
The summer baseball program is run by a group of volunteers who coach teams which participated in TBall (12 years old and under) and Babe Ruth (13 years thru 15 vears old).
Up until two years ago there were just three or four teams that played against each other at Rappahannock Elementary School field. Amissville played in the Fauquier league.
After joining together the teams play against each other either at Stuart field in Amissville or the Rappahannock Elementary or High' School fields. We would like to thank the schools for letting us use their fields.
