NUGGETS OF TRUTH

THE LORD S PRAYER (part 2)

Last week in Nuggets, we gave you an introduction to a senes of teachings on "The Lord's Prayer", found in Matt. 6:9-13 As we go through this series, we will look at each line of the praye? as Jesus taught in the parable in Luke, Chap 6:46-49 (please read). We will dig deep and lay our foundation on solid ground. The first line in the Lord's Prayer is Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. To hallow" Gods name, means to set Him apart for praise. When we come into God s presence. we must come in the Name of Jesus and come into His presence praising and thanking Him for all He has done for us When you begin to pray this prayer, first come to God praising Him for forgiveness of sin. This is benefit # 1

Picture Jesus, on the cross sheding His precious blood for you; and then thank God that you can call Him Father , because of the blood of Jesus. Then begin to thank God for His always being with us. Jesus said He would never leave us or forsake us. That is benefit #2.
