Mr. Deets is a specialist in conservation and natural resources management, with 17 years experience in evaluation and siting procedures for both hazardous and solid waste landfills. During that time he has overseen the siting procedures for 35 landfills of both types. Mr. Irwin said that Mr. Deets is “the recognized expert in the field” of site selection for landfills. “Kearney is the number one company doing this, the number one contract-holder with the EPA - and Mr. Deets is the man in charge at Kearney.”
The RLEP meeting will be held at the Courthouse, beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 24. Mr. Irwin stressed that the meeting is open to the public, and he urged all interested Rappahannock residents to attend.
