The Rappahannock County High School band and choir have joined forces to form a music boosters group. This group will enhance the development of an organized and unified music department at the high school. Any interested persons who would like to further the cause of musical education in Rappahannock are urged to join the effort.

The support group intends to aid the music department in reaching several goals this year. Choir director Mrs. Cathy Foxx stated that the choir members are in need of gowns for the female members and tuxedos for the males. Cathy Hewitt, band director, added that a bass clarinet is needed for the band.

Money raised by the music boosters will also help provide student fees needed to attend regional choral festivals and the solo festival for the band. These events are privileges for the student but there are fees required for which the students had previously been responsible.
