High nitrate forages can also be diluted with “clean” feeds, such as another forage and/or high fiber by-product feeds. Because com silage may be somewhat limited this year, alternative feedstuffs such as whole cottonseed, wet brewers grain, distillers grain, dried brewers grain and alfalfa hay are taking on increased importance.
