Guest speaker scheduled for
Historical Society meeting
John B. Minnick of Fairfax, retired chief counsel for the Internal Revenue Service in Fairfax, will speak on “George Mason, the true father of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights” on Friday, November 7, at 7:30 p.m. in a program sponsored by the Rappahannock Historical Society. In anticipation of a large attendance, the program will be held at the Gay Street Theater, by courtesy of the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and Community. The public is invited.
4-H teen club to meet
All teens interested in joining 4-H are invited to attend a meeting of the Rappahannock 4-H Teen Club Thursday, November 6, at 7 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington. Election of officers will be held. “Come join us, we’d like to introduce you to the fun of being in 4H,” said an organizer.
Aerobic dance classes
A six week series of aerobic dance classes will begin Tuesday, November 11. Evening classes will be at 6 p.m. at the Rappahannock Elementary School on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Afternoon classes will be at 4 p.m. at the Flint Hill fire hall on Wednesdays and Fridays. Class fee is $25 for twice a week or $35 for unlimited attendance. A flexercise class will also be offered Monday evenings starting November 10 at 6 p.m. at the Rappahannock Elementary School. Class fee is $20. Call Rose Ann Sharp at 675-3887 for more information.
Dance at AmissviUe
The band Royal Tones will play for a dance sponsored by the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department Saturday, November 8, from 9 to 1. Proper dress is required and persons attending must be 21 years of age. For reservations or additional information call 937-4357.
Adventure Team to me^t
The Rappahannock Adventure Team 4-H Club will meet on Wednesday, November 12, at 3:30 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church. Anyone interested in joining this 4-H club is encouraged to attend.
Church bazaar
A church bazaar will be held at the Waverly Yowell Middle School in Madison on Saturday, November 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
