Williams

Clifford Richard Williams, 67, of Alexandria, formerly of Sperryville, died October 31 at the Alexandria Hospital.

A native of Rappahannock County, he was a retired employee of Herby’s Ford wrecker service.

He is survived by two daughters, Vida Ann Stephney and Peggy Lee Williams, both of Alexandria, and a son Frederick Allen Williams of Alexandria.

He also leaves three brothers, Eugene Williams of Alexandria, Clarence Williams of Falls Church and Robert Williams of Washington, D. C., three sisters, Affie Andes of Sperryville, Virginia Curtis of Brooklyn, N. Y., and Beatrice Newman of Alexandria, his mother-inlaw Mrs. Zephyr Glascoe of Woodville, and six grandchildren.

He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, Sperryville, where a funeral service was conducted November 5 by Rev. U. S. Brokenburr of Washington, D. C. Interment was at the family section of Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery at Woodville.
