Those youthful burglars violated that trust.
By his action in sentencing the young man, Judge Penn served notice that scoundrels who violate that trust will not be let off with a slap on the wrist, a finger wagged in the face and an admonition “never do that again.” If Judge Penn’s stem pronouncement causes other would-be miscreants to reconsider their schemes, some good will have come from a thoroughly contemptible affair.
