Mrs. Joe (Betty) Powers was honored recently by Germanna Community College staff members, who selected her to be highlighted in a booklet distributed at the Virginia Community College Association when they convene next month. Mrs. Powers serves as secretary for Dr. Jackson N. Sasser, dean of instruction and student services. She joined Germanna in 1983 after retiring with 30 years of service from the telephone company. We offer our congratulations to Mrs. Powers, who lives on Route 707 with her husband, our rural mail carrier.
