the V.D.H.A., county hunters and clubs worked for many hours to convince the Game Commissioners not to approve the resolution to ban the use of deer hounds in King George County as has been proposed by the King George Board of Supervisors.
Since its organization in March 1985, approximately 1200 individuals have joined the V.D.H.A.
Goals of the V.D.H.A. are to assist the. Virginia Game Commission to improve, control and maintain the deer herd; to promote adherence to all game laws and to hunt in a sportsmanlike manner; to seek ways of improving relations between landowners and deer hunters and to promote hunter safety.
Membership is $10.00 per year. After joining the V.D.H.A. a person will receive a membership card, V.D.H.A. vehicle decal, our official publication Whitetail Times, and a membership into the Virginia Wildlife Federation.
The Virginia Deer Hunters Association needs safe, ethical and concerned deer hunters. It is our hope that by joining together we can help to change the image of deer hunting in Virginia and make it a better sport.
