Anderson
Carson L. Anderson, 76, of Glen Bumie, Md., died November 3. Mr. Anderson was a native of Rappahannock County and was retired from NEV/MAR.
He is survived by his wife Addie Mae of Glen Bumie, Md., a son Eddie Anderson of Glen Bumie, a brother Loring Anderson of Washington, two sisters, Nellie Bromley of Berryville and Martha Gillespie of Front Royal, and two grandchildren, Pam and Tim of Glen Bumie.
A chapel service will be conducted November 6 at Singleton’s Funeral Home, Glen Bumie, Md.
Lindsay Bailey
Lindsay “Bill” Bailey, 58, of Newark, N. J., died October 28 in Newark.
Mr. Bailey was bom February 12, 1928, in Flint Hill, the son of the late Caesar Bailey and Eva Williams Bailey. He was employed at Worthington Pump Corp., Newark. He was a member of the Abyssinian Baptist Church, Newark, and was a charter member of the Cavalier Club of Front Royal.
Surviving are his wife Hazel Banks Bailey, three .sons, Carlos Bailey of Arlington, Angelo Bailey and Ronald Bailey, both of Newark, and five daughters, Eva Jiles, Kim Bailey, Karen Bailey, Loretta Bailey and Faye Banks, all of Newark.
Additional survivors include six brothers, Harry Bailey of Plainfield, N. J., Caesar Bailey Jr. of Media, Pa., Golden Bailey and Jean Bailey, both of Front Royal, Walter Bailey of Alexandria and Robert Bailey of Newark.
A funeral service was conducted November 3 at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Front Royal, by Rev. Carter Alsberry. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery, Front Royal.
Emmett R. Starks
Emmett Randolph Starks, 70, of Washington, died October 30 at VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, W. Va.
A native of Rappahannock County, Mr. Starks was a self-employed construction roofer.
He is survived by two daughters, Carmita Thomas of Annapolis, Md., and Monica Hopkins of Bealeton, a son Emmett Starks II of Culpeper, two brothers, Otto Starks of Washington, D. C., and Irving (Bill)
