Hospital Administrator C. Douglas Rosen recently announced that Warren Memorial Hospital has purchased and installed new state-ofthe-art cardiac monitoring equipment for the hospital’s Intensive Care/Cardiac Care Unit. Additionally, new monitoring equipment foi the hospital’s Progressive Care Unit, which allows the continuous monitoring of eight beds, as well as telemetry monitoring equipment foi the Emergency Department, was purchased and installed.
The new equipment is very sophisticated and versatile, is the most recent state-of-the-art equipment available for cardiac monitoring hospital systems.
The monitoring equipment in the ICU/CCU is composed of three pieces of equipment consisting of a bedside monitor, a central monitor, and a recorder. The monitoring system blends the best of technological design with reliability and easy use by the nursing personnel and physicians. The monitoring equipment in the ICU/CCU has the capacity to monitor and record blood pressure, temperature and cardiac output measurement. It also has the capability of monitoring the respiratory function of the patient.
