The Fauquier Chapter of the Virginia Museum will present artist Carol Barton, who will speak and teach a workshop on creating and collecting unusual books on Oct. 2 and 3 in Warrenton. Ms. Barton is one of 13 professional artists who present studio workshops through the Virginia Museum’s chapter and affiliate program.
The lecture and workshop will be presented in the Art Room of Central Elementary School Friday beginning at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In her illustrated lecture on Friday evening, Ms. Barton will describe the processes artists are using to create new book formats that explore sculptural, spatial and serial concepts.
