3 red-skinned apples, cored and cut into thin wedges
lVz cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Combine butter, onion, parsley, salt, pepper and thyme. In a shallow 2-quart casserole arrange in layers potato slices and apple wedges; drizzle butter mixture over all.
Cover and bake at 350 degrees 60 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Sprinkle cheese on top; bake, covered an additional 10 minutes.
