A request by Ted and Renate Chapman for a special exception permit for a religious retreat on the property known as Greenfield, just outside Washington on Rt. 211, won a unanimous recommendation from the Planning Commission last Wednesday night.
The Chapmans, who had faced stiff opposition against their previous request for the same type of facility to be located in the F. T. Valley off Rt. 231, found the going much easier this time around.
