You are entitled to a written estimate of the cost of any repairs that are expected to exceed $25.00, but you must request it.
The repair facility, again upon request, must provide you with the estimated cost of the parts and labor, a description of the work to be performed, and the estimated time that the job will be completed.
Where a written estimate is requested, the repair facility may not begin actual work (as opposed to diagnostic work) on the automobile until the customer has authorized it.
