Polling place relocates

On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 7, the residents of Hampton District will vote at the Washington Fire Hall rather than the long-time location at the county courthouse. According to election officials, the move was made to ensure easy access for handicapped residents, and also to accomodate the expanding needs of the J50lt officials for some additional space. The polls will be open from 6 a m. until 7 p.m. on Nov. 7. RCES Book Fair

The Rappahannock County Elementary School library will hold its annual Book Fair from Oct. 26 through Nov. 1. According to Librarian Aney Massie, a wide selection of paperback books for children will be available, along with items for adults as well. The public is invited to visit the fair during regular school hours, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. Special evening hours will also be held on Thursday, Oct. 26, from 2:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in conjunction with scheduled parentteacher conferences.
