Sandra Mitchell, a fourth grade teacher at Wakefield School in Huntly since 1983, attended a summer institute for teachers on American art and culture from 1700 to 1900.
The session, which was limited to 50 participants, had representatives of 32 states present. The University of Virginia awarded graduate credit for successful completion of the course.
