Washington’s Planning Commission granted preliminary approval for the subdivision of the former Stuart property behind the Washington Cash Store.
The approval came after a twohour review of the town’s subdivision ordinance at a special meeting on Oct. 10, and a public hearing at which only one town resident spoke. The approval was delayed from the commisssion’s regular September meeting when several commissioners protested that they had not reviewed the documentation for the project.
