Election Day, Nov. 7 is just a few weeks away when we will elect our state and local representatives. Locally, some voters say that “it is time for a change.” Shortly after WWII British voters were told the same thing; Labor said that the people had had enough of Churchill and his policies, that it was “time for a change.” tabor was elected, government controls increased and as is usually the case when this happens things went from bad to infinitely worse. So in 1952 Churchill was relected.
We in Virginia have been more fortunate than other states in that conservative policies have ruled in Richmond most of the time. But sitill, some people say that “it is time for a change” even at the local level. - The upcoming election should not
viewed as a race between personalities or one over abortion rights (hot all Democrats favor these nor dp all Republicans oppose them), but »race between philosophies of government; one between liberal and conservative. Virginia has been historically conservative no matter \?hich party provided the Governor.
