But in the last two administrations State government has grown at double the rate at the Federal level. With this non-productive growth came greater spending which cannot be laid solely to monetary inflation (relatively low) but to the inflated cost of self-maintenance. In this area, yes, we can use a change.
We need a representative in the House of Delegates a person with a philosophy of less spending to support non-productive growth, less increase in taxation and therewith control, an increase in the number of taxpayers through an expanded revenue-producing tax base and thereby a reduction in the number of taxtakers. This is the philosophy of Andy Guest and is to our general advantage. He has sought the comments of his constituents and has acted on them. We know him; we know the philosophy of government he represents, and he knows us. In Andy Guest’s case, it is not time for a change.
