James Whitmer
James W. Whitmer, died Aug. 30 at Hospice of Northern Virginia in Arlington.
Mr. Whitmer was a former resident of Rappahannock County.
Survivors, in addition to his widow, Linda WTiitmer, include three daughters, Melissa, Brandy and Jamie Whitmer; his parents, Frank A. Whitmer and Lucy Margaret Beavers; three brothers, Billy Whitmer, Lewis and James Beavers; one sister, Margaret Carter and his grandmother, Fannie Fincham of Haymarket.
Funeral services were held Sept. 1 at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Alexandria. Interment was at the Mount Comfort Cemetery.
Marion F. Bolen
Marion F. “Tucker” Bolen, 72, of Luray, died Oct. 8 in Winchester Medical Center.
The funeral was held at Bradley Funeral Home in Luray with the Rev. Max W. Fisher officiating. Burial was in Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Bolen was bom March 11, 1917,in Rappahannock County, the son of the late John Bernard and Ruby Elizabeth Bowen Bolen.
