“That parking was meant to be temporary,” Dr. Gangel said. “Without proper maintenance we could get by one or two years. Now is the time to put in a parking lot that will be somewhat permanent. We will try to work with the highway department so the seniors this year can use it.
“It won’t be a complete parking area. Over time we will continue to use fees to improve it. I wish I could say let’s take away this fee, but I don’t feel it’s the taxpayers’ responsibility to pay for this. I wish we could put this behind us, but we can not wait till we have a mud hole two years down the road,”
